Alaska's Lullaby

from Alaska by Sam Vincent Duffy

/

about

The world is big and scary and sometimes we get caught up in our thoughts. Its good to remember our dreams and reasons for walking the Earth. I've never even been too Alaska, but I would love to go someday. In the song it represents a place that is calm and estranged from society. I'll put my quarters in a jar just to keep my mind occupied.

lyrics

Don’t be scared now
Lay your head down
Leave the wolves
Wearing suits
Far behind you

I’ll make Alaska out of my own two hands
I’ll take disaster, turn it into a nice tan
I’ll put the colors
I’ll put the colors in the land

Calm your heart dear
Let your mind clear
Leave the bears
In taxi cabs
Far behind you

I’ll make Alaska out of my own two hands
I’ll take disaster, turn it into a nice tan
I’ll put the colors
I’ll put the colors in the land

Now wont you
Sleep
Now my child
